Classroom Consultation with Mariposa Education ExpertsΒ

Jenny Barrett and Dr. Anne Townsend
Feeling stuck when a student's behavior isn't improving β€” no matter what you try?

You're not alone. Teachers, administrators, and school teams reach out to us when their current approaches aren't working and they need a fresh perspective. We can help you understand what's driving the behavior, identify what the child needs, and give you concrete language and strategies to move forward.

Zoom Consultation β€” $200

A one-hour conversation with Dr. Anne Townsend and/or Jenny Barrett to work through a specific challenge you're facing.

When a child throws things, runs out of the classroom, or disrupts repeatedly, schools often try everything β€” incentives, consequences, behavior charts, additional supports β€” and still don't see improvement. In our consultation, we help you identify the root cause, recognize signs of stress in the child's behavior, and find a more effective and sustainable approach. We give you the framework and the words.

Includes:

  • 1-hour Zoom consultation
  • Pre- or post-meeting review of supporting materials (school notes, emails, or video β€” no identifying information required)
  • Follow-up email with recommended language, strategies, and resources

In-Person Classroom Coaching β€” $350

Sometimes seeing the approach in action makes all the difference.

A Mariposa coach comes into your classroom to observe, model interactions, and offer real-time coaching. Even educators who have completed a Mariposa course find that practicing with a full classroom is hard β€” having a coach present to demonstrate how to respond, and to observe each child's individual needs, brings the skills to life in a way that training alone can't.

Includes:

  • Pre-visit Zoom conversation
  • 1 hour in the classroom with modeling and coaching
  • Option to record (with parental permission)
  • Option to include multiple team members
  • Follow-up email with recap, notes, recommendations, and resources
  • Zoom debrief with staff to review what happened, answer questions, and discuss next steps

β€œI received support from Mrs. Jenny when she came to visit me inside my classroom. The
way she coached me to assist a child with her boundaries has impacted us so much that
we now are able to communicate with her in regards to allowing others into her space.”
